Zombies, Run!
Today I bumped into this kickstarter project, Zombies, Run! wich I found both fun and a good example of gamification tied to sport.

Is all about adding some extra fun to running. The game delivers a mission through your headphones while running: rebuild the world after a zombie apocalypse. You can hear them around so you’re sort of encouraged to…run! While running you collect ammo, medicine and supplies that you’ll use later to rebuild your base. And there’s the important word: after. Zombies, Run! is not an invasive game, you don’t have to change your favorite routes and you don’t need to carry any extra stuff, and you can play your own music selection as it gets mixed with zombie’s gutteral breath. As they say in their website “All you do is press a button when you start, and another button when you’re done“. Once you finish running, you reorganize the stuff and improve your base.

Zombies, Run! is a pure indie game, developed by Six to Start and Naomi Alderman in the UK and it has already achieved the target funding so it’s a reality. You can visit the game’s site here. It’s also avilable in the App Store for $7.99. Android users will have to wait untill spring, sorry for that.
